4 of a kind: Three-beds perfect for first time buyers

Each of these properties qualifies for the government’s Help To Buy scheme.

GETTING ON THE property ladder can be difficult, but new developments are opening up to first time buyers everyday – and many of them are eligible for the government’s Help To Buy scheme.

The Help To Buy scheme provides for a refund of income tax and DIRT (Deposit Interest Retention Tax) paid over the previous four years to first time buyers purchasing a new, qualifying home.

Like the sound of that incentive? Here’s what’s on the market now…

Adamstown, Co Dublin

The terraced three-bedroom homes at St Helen’s are a mere 20  minutes from the city centre by rail, thanks to the Phoenix Park tunnel. Homes here will appeal to those who commute to Dublin and the surrounding area, as well as new and growing families.

Each unit has access via ladder to extra attic space, and the gas-fired central heating can be controlled via a phone app. St Helen’s is also minutes from the thriving village of Lucan, home to restaurants, cafés and plenty of shops.

Homes here are on offer from €290,000.
