A 40-YEAR-OLD man has been charged after an elderly couple were found dead in their house on Friday.
Michael and Lilian ‘Marjorie’ Cawdery were found at a house in Portadown.
Both aged 83, the couple were found by police after a call was made to attend an address in the Upper Ramone Park area of the town at 3.40pm.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch have charged a 40-year-old man with a number of offences including two counts of murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated vehicle-taking.
He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday 30 May.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
