Good craic or taking it too far? We want to hear your stories of airport pints and drunken passengers

Is drinking in the morning acceptable if it’s in an airport? Or are pre-flight pints causing more hassle than they’re worth?

LAST UPDATE | 8 May

RYANAIR BOSS MICHAEL O’Leary wants to ban early morning pre-flight pints because some passengers have been getting too drunk and causing problems.

It’s become somewhat of a holiday tradition: day or night, stag do or family holiday, Austria or Australia – some people love starting their trip with a cheeky pint (or something stronger).

But is drinking in the morning acceptable if it’s in an airport? Or are pre-flight pints causing more hassle than they’re worth?

We want to hear your stories.

  • Do you love airport drinking or loathe it?
  • Have you had a bad experience with a drunken passenger, whether it was at the airport or mid-air?
  • Have you personally ever taken it too far at the airport bar before a flight?

Get in touch by emailing answers@thejournal.ie and telling us about your experiences. Keep your responses to two or three paragraphs.

Please include your name, age and county, or tell us if you would like to remain anonymous.

We’ll reflect your stories in a future article on this subject.
