Poll: Do you support the sale of Aer Lingus?
Are you worried that such an iconic brand will be out of Irish hands?

THE GOVERNMENT THIS week decided to part with its 25% stake of Aer Lingus, paving the way for a sale of the airline to IAG.

The deal will net the taxpayer around €335 million and will protect jobs, connectivity and the airline’s slots at Heathrow.

But is the deal, as TD Michael McNamara said, “gambling with the economic development of the state”?

Are you worried that such an iconic brand will be out of Irish hands?

We’re asking: Do you support the sale of Aer Lingus?

Poll Results:

No (9365)
Yes (6054)
I don't know (1135)
