GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING THE murder of Andrew Allen in 2012 have arrested a man.

Allen was shot on 9 February 2012 at Links View Park, Buncrana, County Donegal.

The man, in his early 50s, was arrested last night in the County Donegal area.

He is currently detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.

Gardaí have said that the 24-year-old had moved to Donegal after he became the target of the vigilante group Republican Action Against Drugs in his native Derry. The dissident group claimed responsibility of the murder.
