GARDAÍ IN CLARE are investigating after two armed men wearing balaclavas stole an undisclosed sum of cash from a betting shop in Ennis last night.
The two men entered Ladbrokes bookmakers at around 7.40pm and demanded the cash from staff. One of the two raiders is believed to have been carrying a shotgun, gardaí have said. No-one was injured in the incident.
The two men escaped in a silver Audi which was discovered just before midnight a short distance from where the robbery had taken place.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone who witnessed the robbery or with information on the movement of the silver Audi to contact them.
