NASA will ring in the new year 16 times

And you thought you were having a wild night.

ASTRONAUTS ON BOARD the International Space Station took some time out of their busy schedule to wish everyone a happy new year.

The team will pass over locations where it is midnight 16 times today – and plan to celebrate the start of the new year each time.
