Three people killed in separate US shooting

The shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

THREE PEOPLE WERE killed in a shooting in Florida yesterday evening.

The news emerged in the hours following the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon in which at least nine people were killed.

Local news station WCJB, an affiliate of ABC, reports that Levy County Sheriff’s office have said three people were shot dead at a home in Inglis.

Police said the shooter is dead due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Just after 6pm yesterday evening local time (11pm GMT), dispatchers received a call of an active shooter.

The incident has been described as a”domestic disturbance”, with AP reporting that one of the victims was the shooter’s estranged wife.

A fourth person was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
