SWITZERLAND ARE SET to vote this weekend on whether to introduce a basic income for all its citizens.
In a global first, the country will vote on whether to give all of its citizens an unconditional basic income (UBI) to fight poverty and inequality.
The vote will be based on principle only and doesn’t look likely to pass – but the amount being suggested is 2,500 Swiss Francs per month per adult (€2,250).
So, today we’re asking: Would you support an unconditional basic income for everyone in Ireland?
