REVENUE OFFICERS SEIZED 786 litres of wine at Dublin Port yesterday after a routine check.
During ‘routine profiling’, they stopped and searched a Transit van, which had arrived from France via Holyhead.
They found red and white wines have a retail value of around €11,000 and represent an estimated potential loss in tax revenue of €5,400.
Investigations are ongoing.
If you know someone is evading tax or involved in smuggling, report it by contacting Revenue’s Confidential Freephone 1800 295 295.
