Would you pay 15 cents for a paper bag in Penneys?

The popular clothing chain is the latest retailer to introduce a charge for paper bags.

FROM MONDAY, PENNEYS will be charging 15 cents per paper bag in an effort to decrease the use of single use bags.

A spokesperson for the fashion retailer said that Penneys is “one of the last major retailers” to introduce a charge for paper bags.

On Newstalk Breakfast, The Home Show presenter Sinead Ryan said the fee on the recycled paper bags “seems like more of a punishment than what you’re actually getting for it.”

So tell us: Would you pay 15 cents for a paper bag in Penneys?
