As well as table tennis, there is a lot of running in Marty Supreme Alamy Stock Photo

Will you watch Marty Supreme?

The film was released in Ireland on 26 December and has been met with rave reviews.

CINEMAS ACROSS IRELAND and beyond are expected to be busy for the foreseeable future with several major film releases, including sports comedy-drama Marty Supreme.

Directed by Josh Safdie and starring Timothée Chalamet, the A24 film follows shoe salesman Marty Mauser in his “pursuit of greatness” and dream of becoming a table tennis champion. Whether he succeeds or not – you’ll have to watch to find out.

Chalamet has already earned praise for his performance, which has been described by The Irish Times as “bravely abrasive”. It’s shaping up to be a busy awards season for the 30-year-old, who picked up Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards this week and has been hotly tipped for an Oscar nomination.

So, we’re wondering: Will you watch Marty Supreme?
