IS TOGRA TAIGHDE é Abair.ie atá lonnaithe i gColáiste na Tríonóide, a dhéanann forbairt ar theicneolaíochta AI do chanúintí na Gaeilge.

Tá acmhainní agus áiseanna ar fáil do phobal na Gaeilge, don oideachas agus don rochtain dóibh siúd faoi mhíchumas.

Le blianta beaga anuas, tá dul chun cinn déanta ag Abair ar an aithint cainte don Ghaeilge agus beidh go leor forbairt san earnáil seo sa todhchaí.

ABAIR IS A research project based at Trinity College Dublin that is developing AI technology for Irish dialects.

The project aims to create digital resources for the Irish speaking community.

It can be used in third level education settings, for people trying to learn the language for the first time and it can help tackle accessibility issues for those with disabilities.

Abair has made significant progress on speech-to-text recognition for the Irish language over the past five years.

We spoke to Liam Lonergan, a researcher and linguist, to find out more about the project.

Tá tacaíocht á fháil ag Beartas Gaeltachta The Journal ón Scéim Tuairiscithe ar Dhaonlathas Áitiúil.
