Number of men and women hospitalised following 'serious' public order incident in Tralee

The incident happened at around 10.50pm last night.

A NUMBER OF men and women were brought to hospital for treatment of injuries after a public order incident in Tralee last night.

The incident, described as “serious” by gardaí, occurred at around 10.50pm. 

Those in hospital are being treated for non-life threatening injuries sustained during the incident on Mitchel’s Road in Co Kerry.

A vehicle was among items seized by gardaí, and a woman in her 40s was arrested and brought to a garda station in Co Kerry.

She is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A technical examination of the scene has been conducted, and the investigation is ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.
