Man arrested after 'serious' sexual assault in Belfast park
The alleged attack occurred on Wednesday in the Waterworks area of the city.
A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in Belfast.
The alleged attack occurred on Wednesday in the Waterworks area of the city.
Detectives investigating the attack on the woman have arrested a man. He is currently in police custody.
Detective Inspector Zoe McKee would appeal to anyone who was in the Waterworks area at around 8.30pm on Wednesday and may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to contact Police at the Rape Crime Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1357 17/05/17.
Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
