Ditch your diesel engine and earn a hefty new-car discount from BMW

If your car has a diesel Euro-4 engine or below, you’re eligible – regardless of the brand.

CONSIDERING SWITCHING FROM diesel to a lower-emission alternative? It could save you money in more ways than one. BMW Group Ireland has just  announced a trade-in offer on older diesel vehicles – and a sweet €2,000 discount off any new low-emission BMW or MINI.

Currently, more than 80 per cent of BMWs and 70 per cent of MINIs have emissions of 130g/km or less, so you’ll have plenty of models to choose from. The Lower Emissions Incentive trade-in allowance is offered on all vehicles (not just from BMW Group) that have diesel Euro-4 engines or below.

Not sure if your car qualifies? Simply check here - and be aware that you need to have owned your current vehicle for at least 12 months.

If your car qualifies, you can trade it in for an all-electric car like the BMW i3, a plug-in hybrid like the BMW i8 and MINI Countryman E ALL 4 or any Euro-6 standard BMW or MINI with low emissions.

A full list of models available in the Lower Emissions Incentive can be found here.

This scheme starts with immediate effect and runs until 31 December 2017.
