He is the youngest ever person to be charged with the crime in the UK.

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with raping his mother in the UK.

The alleged attack occurred in Blackpool during the early hours of Sunday morning, according to BBC News, citing Lancashire Police.

The teenager appeared before Blackpool Magistrates Court yesterday and the judge remanded him in custody.

A hearing is due to take place at Preston Crown Court on 11 March.

Local newspaper, the Blackpool Gazette, reports that the alleged offence took place in the family home and that the presiding judge described it as a “grave crime”.

He is said to be the youngest person to face such a charge in the UK.
