Canada: Woman's severed head found in park

The grim find comes just one day after a human foot was discovered by hikers near the location.

THE SEVERED HEAD of a woman has been found in a park in Ontario, just one day after a human foot was discovered at a nearby location.

Police recovered the head from the Credit river at a park in Mississauga on Thursday, one day after hikers came across a human foot – the toe nails of which had been painted yellow, according to Canada.com.

Investigating officers suspect the body parts belong to the same victim but that has yet to be confirmed, the BBC reports.

Police spokesman Randy Cowan told the media: “Obviously, we consider it as foul play, and we are treating it as such… We’ll be looking for the entire victim.”

The grim discovery comes just a few months after the head of another victim was found in a Montreal park, following a tip from an unidentified source.

The victim, Chinese student Lin Jun, had been killed and dismembered in May.

Canadian porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta is accused of the murder and dismemberment – and of sending body parts belonging to the victim to the offices of Canada’s top political parties.
