Champagne on the train to Wexford: How to celebrate a €2.7m Lotto win

Matthew Moran eschewed a limo for the 16.30 to Wexford for his return journey from Lotto HQ yesterday evening.

IF YOU WON nearly three million euro on the Lotto, how would you get home? Limo? Helicopter? Or the 4.30pm train to Wexford?

Modest Matthew Moran plumped for option number three after travelling to National Lottery headquarters in Dublin city yesterday to pick up a cheque for €2,702,026 after a win on the Lotto.

Reader Debbie Murphy (@D3bbie_M) met Matthew and his happy pals on the train from Connolly station to Wexford yesterday afternoon and took this fantastic picture of them celebrating.

She said Matthew told her that the champagne he is toasting his win with was his first taste ever of bubbly.

Matthew, if you’re out there, send us an email, to editor@thejournal.ie – we’d love to know how you celebrated once you got to Wexford!
