Extended services will run the two weekends before Christmas and on New Year’s Eve.

The Dart, Dundalk and Maynooth commuter line services will run after midnight over the next two weekends, as well as New Year’s Eve.

The late night service has been extended from two to three nights – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – this year.

Darts will also be running as far as Greystones, having previously operated to Bray only.

Fares will be charged at normal Dart and Commuter rates, and season tickets and Leap cards are valid on all services.

All late night trains will have security personnel on board to ensure customer safety, Iarnród Éireann said.
