Three released after home attack on elderly woman
Gardaí say the investigation is ongoing and a file is being sent to the DPP.
GARDAÍ HAVE RELEASED three men they were questioning in connection with an attack on the home of an elderly woman and her family on Friday night.
Three men entered the yard of an 80-year-old woman, who was at her home in west Clare with her son and daughter, and threatened the family.
A window and door were damaged in the incident but Gardaí say nothing was taken. The three men left in a vehicle that was later stopped by Gardaí and the occupants were arrested.
The men were taken to Ennis Garda Station and detained overnight on Friday before being released on Saturday without charge. The investigation is ongoing and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
