A 32-YEAR-OLD woman has died in a car crash at Ballinneen, county Cork overnight.
The single-car collision occurred between 2am and 2.30am at Manch Middle. The victim was the front-seat passenger in the vehicle.
The driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to Cork University Hospital. His injuries have been described as not life-threatening.
The stretch of road is closed, pending forensic examination. Diversions are in place.
Gardaí have warned motorists of dangerous driving conditions this morning because of strong winds and fallen trees. It has been a bad week for Irish road users, as three pedestrians lost their lives, as well as a 24-year-old man in Limerick.
