New appeal for witnesses after cyclist found seriously injured at Cork roadside

The 32-year-old woman was found on Friday afternoon by a passer-by.

SIX DAYS AFTER a female cyclist was found with serious injuries at the side of a road in Cork, gardaí have made a new appeal for witnesses to come forward in a bid to find out what happened.

The 32-year-old woman was found on Friday afternoon at Kilmacrane, Banteer in Cork, by a passer-by.

She was taken to Cork University Hospital where her injuries remain serious.

Gardaí have said they are investigating all circumstances around what happened to the woman. It is not yet known whether a vehicle was involved or not.

Investigating officers have asked for anyone with information to contact Kanturk Garda Station on 029 2061, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
