Dublin homes to lose water for a day

The disruption will last from 6am to midnight on 30 June.

THOUSANDS OF HOMES in Dublin will see their water supply disrupted at the end of the month to allow for vital repair works.

Dublin City Council sent out a notice today to warn residents that essential works will be carried out on Sunday, 30 June resulting in a reduction in service.

Properties across Donnycarney, Artane, Killester, Coolock, Edenmore, Kilbarrack and their surrounding areas should expect reduced pressures and a loss of supply between 6am and midnight.

The areas most likely to be impacted include:

  • Griffith Ave, from Charlemont to the Malahide Road
  • Malahide Road, from Griffith Ave to Tonlagee Road
  • Tonlagee Road to Kilbarrack Road
  • Kilbarrack Road to the Dublin Road

The local authority said all efforts will be made to carry out the work in the quickest possible time. It apologised for any inconvenience caused and noted there will be a number of mobile tankers in the area.
