A MAN HAS died after being assaulted in the centre of Dublin.
The attack happened on Cow’s Lane in the Temple Bar area of the city at around 8.45pm yesterday evening.
It is believed a number of people took pictures of the incident.
The man, aged in his mid-20s, was rushed to St James Hospital but was pronounced dead this evening.
Three men, all in their mid-20s, were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained under the Criminal Justice Act at Pearse Street and Irishtown Garda Stations.
Gardaí say a fourth man is also in custody this evening.
A post mortem on the deceased is due to be carried out.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for anyone who was in the area of Cow’s Lane between 8.30pm and 9pm to come forward with information. It is believed that a number of individuals present took images of the assault.
