Energy management company to create 50 jobs
Cylon will invest €11 million in a new division in Ireland with the creation of 50 jobs over four years.
AN ENERGY MANAGEMENT development company has announced plans to create 50 new jobs in Ireland.
Cylon this morning confirmed it would create the jobs through an €11 million investment in a new division, ‘Cylon Active Energy’.
The company, set up in 1985 as a university start-up, announced the jobs at a launch event in Croke Park attended by junior trade minister Joe Costello.
The company is a large independent supplier of building control systems, helping companies to manage the energy efficiency of their premises, and also now offers energy management services through cloud-based platforms.
Group MD Sean Giblin said the launch marked a “major phase” in the company’s development, and said it would help the company to double its current sales to about €15 million by 2014.
Roles will include positions in engineering and software development. The positions will be created over the next four years.
Cylon, which is headquartered in Clonshaugh, has offices in the UK, Europe and China.
