The winning numbers in Monday night’s (8 September) draw were 1, 3, 5, 11, 20, 31, with the Dream number 5.
It was a double night of celebrations for Irish players, as another ticket holder matched all six numbers to secure the Tier 2 prize of €2,000 a month for five years.
That win is worth €120,000 in total.
National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer said the draw marked a historic moment.
“This is a phenomenal night for Irish EuroDreams players and another landmark moment for the National Lottery. To have our very first EuroDreams top prize winner is truly historic, €20,000 a month for 30 years is a life changing prize!” O’Dwyer said.
The National Lottery will confirm the locations where the winning tickets were sold in the coming days. Players are being urged to check their tickets carefully.
EuroDreams is played across eight European countries, with draws every Monday and Thursday.
Unlike lump-sum lottery jackpots, the game’s top prizes are paid in long-term monthly instalments.
