Gardaí investigating Creeslough explosion submit supplementary file to the DPP

The supplementary file includes formal recommendations from gardaí.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING THE fatal explosion in Creeslough, Co Donegal, which killed ten people have submitted a supplementary file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A garda spokesperson said this supplementary file is in addition to the primary file submitted to the DPP in September 2025.

The supplementary file includes formal recommendations from An Garda Síochána.

A spokesperson said the victims’ families continue to be supported by Family Liaison Officers and that regular family liaison briefings are held, the most recent of which was this evening.

An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the fatal explosion on 7 October 2022 – and for whatever reason may not have spoken formally to date – to come forward and speak to the Garda Investigation Team.

The Garda Investigation Team can be contacted at Milford Garda Station, where an Incident Room continues to investigate under the direction of a Garda Senior Investigating Officer at 074 9153060, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or through Garda Station.

The spokesperson said An Garda Síochána continues to remember the 10 deceased:

James O’Flaherty, Jessica Gallagher, Martin McGill, Catherine O’Donnell and her son James Monaghan, Hugh Kelly, Martina Martin, Robert Garwe and his daughter Shauna Flanagan Garwe, and Leona Harper.
