A MAN has “given himself up” after gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident at a church in Crumlin this evening.
Trained negotiators were dealing with the man at St Agnes’ Church for over an hour; fire engines and an ambulance were also called to the scene.
It’s thought that the man, who’s understood to be Irish and in his 50s,was threatening to set himself or the church on fire.
At around 8.40pm, the man gave himself up, gardaí said, and was taken into custody.
No one was injured, they said.
