YOU MIGHT HAVE noticed some hare artwork on display in public spaces throughout the country recently.

If you’re interested in snapping one up, time is running out.

Over 70 three-foot fibreglass hares have been designed by artists from around the country to raise funds for the Jack & Jill Foundation.

To date, bids have ranged from €220 to €1,600 per hare.

Over €63,000 was raised during this week at a live auction in the Royal College of Physicians for 25 golden hares, with the Pauline Bewick-designed hare selling for €8,500.

Since 1997, Jack & Jill has supported over 2,000 children with brain damage from birth to four years of age.
