BRITISH ROYAL PRINCE Harry and his new fianceé Meghan Markle have greeted the media as an engaged couple for the first time at Kensington Palace in London.
The couple emerged from the palace and posed for a massed bank of photographers this afternoon.
It was officially announced this morning that the prince was set to marry his long-term girlfriend Markle (36).
The news, which had been hinted about for some time, was conveyed via an official statement from Clarence House.
While the announcement itself was only made this morning, the engagement itself actually took place earlier this month in London.
“Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course,” this morning’s statement reads.
His Royal Highness and Ms Markle became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close member of his family.
Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms Markle’s parents.
“The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace,” it adds.
Britain is now set to gear up for a wedding sometime in spring 2018. The couple themselves will hold a photo shoot this afternoon at 2pm to cement the announcement.
Markle, an American actress and former model best known for her role in drama series Suits, has been in a relationship with Prince Harry (33) since June 2016.
