Coast Guard deploys helicopter in Liffey search

The search follows reports that a man was seen entering the water.

THE IRISH COAST Guard deployed a helicopter as it searches the Liffey in Dublin city centre.

The search follows reports that a male was seen entering the water.

Gardaí said that shortly after 12.30pm today, they received reports that a male had entered the river Liffey at Custom House Quay.

“Searches to locate the individual are ongoing,” it said.
