ANYONE WHO HAS a smartphone, computer or tablet will know that headaches and eye strain can be an effect of prolonged use.
Part of that is a result of exposure to blue light. As well as the physical effects, after-hours exposure to blue light is also thought to upset your circadian rhythm, which could explain the common struggle of getting to sleep after a late-night Netflix binge or being unable to switch off after scrolling through social media in bed.
If avoiding screens altogether isn’t an option (which it isn’t for many people in the modern world), blue light-blocking glasses might be one way to put your mind at ease.
Founded by Irish rugby player Robbie Henshaw, Henshaw Blue Block glasses work to protect your eyes from the effects of blue light with bespoke lenses that are specially created to reduce its effects.
Plus, they’re super stylish, with a selection of frames available, from retro tortoiseshell to sleek black.
To celebrate the brand’s February offer, we have one pair of Blue Block glasses worth €69 to give away; Henshaw X Blue Block or Henshaw IV Blue Block.
All Henshaw Eyewear glasses are unisex and are available with or without your prescription.
Simply email your name and location to competitions@thejournal.ie with ‘Family Magazine – Henshaw Eyewear’ in the subject line. Don’t forget to subscribe to our Family Newsletter below too!
