Homecoming

Here are the details for Dublin’s homecoming parade

After a stunning victory over Kerry at Croke Park today, the capital will be a sea of blue tomorrow night as Sam arrives back after 16 years.

A CIVIC RECEPTION will be held for Dublin’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning team tomorrow evening in the capital’s city centre.

The event will be held in Merrion Square and will get underway at 7pm.

Access to the event, hosted by Dublin’s Lord Mayor, will be from 6pm with access via Merrion Square East, Merrion Square South or FitzWilliam Street Lower.

Gardaí advise that there will be road closures and parking restrictions in place from 6am tomorrow morning on Merrion Square South, Merrion Square East, FitzWilliam Street Lower/Upper, and Mount Street Upper with a stage and crowd control area to be constructed.

Gardaí also advise that Herbert Street will be available for residents and businesses who work in these areas.

Severe traffic congestion is anticipated for the event. Those wishing to attend are advised to use public transport. No alcohol will be allowed.
