Man (35) arrested as heroin worth €420k seized in Clondalkin
He was detained as part of an ongoing investigation targeting drug trafficking.
A MAN HAS been arrested in Dublin following the seizure of heroin valued at €420,000.
The 35-year-old man was arrested shortly after 4.30pm yesterday during a stop and search of a vehicle in Clondalkin.
He is currently being detained at Lucan Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Gardaí say the search was part of an ongoing investigation targeting drug trafficking activities in the Dublin region.
Almost €1 million worth of heroin, cocaine and cannabis was seized in two separate raids in Kildare and Dublin on Wednesday evening.
Two men, aged 20 and 45, charged in connection with the seizure appeared before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
A third man, aged 22, who had been arrested was released from custody without charge.
