4 of a Kind: Homes with impressive outdoor areas for entertaining in

One even has a pool.

IF THIS WEEK’S dry spell is anything to go by, summer has well and truly started. Naturally, our minds are set on drinks and dinner outdoors to make the most of the sunshine. And a nice space to do this in is top priority.

If you’re on the hunt for a house and a private outdoor space that’s in great nick for when you move in, is a non-negotiable for you, we’ve found four homes around the country that fit the bill perfectly – one even has a pool. All you’ll have to do is fire up the BBQ.

Kinsale, Co Cork – €1,250,000

Reagrove is a four-bedder that’s a whopping 385 m² in size and it isn’t your run-of-the-mill modern mansion. Uniquely star-shaped, this extremely private home sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and has its own access to a secluded beach. Light and space abound thanks to vaulted ceilings and gabled panes of glass that make the most of the views and overlook the sea and the surrounding garden.

The main social spot is a large open plan space that incorporates the living and dining areas, and then a separate kitchen. For entertaining outside, a large patio wraps around the lounge, living room and hallway that all have access to it through their own French doors. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms ensure privacy for each family member, but also for any house guests, which will be inevitable given this home’s popular Cork location.
