This charming cottage is one of Wicklow's key architectural heritage sites

Merriton has been painted the same picture-perfect blue hue for decades.

1

MERRITON IS AN ABSOLUTELY charming Edwardian cottage located in the heart of Greystones, Co Wicklow, and just minutes from the beach.

Dating back to 1905, the property is filled with original features, and forms part of the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage’s portfolio of notable buildings. Despite its storied history though, it’s still a cosy and comfortable modern home.

2

A formal dining room adds a touch of class to proceedings, but thanks to the large windows, it’s airy too.

The living and kitchen areas are less traditional, and have plenty of space for family gatherings. The former is kept warm thanks to an excellent wood-burning stove.

3

Merriton has four bedrooms, three upstairs and one downstairs. The bedrooms are all of decent sizes – some are singles, but have plenty of room nonetheless.

The main bedroom is located upstairs, and has access to an en-suite bathroom.

4

Merriton’s gardens are certainly worth mentioning – the south-facing green space here has been meticulously maintained, and there are also several outhouses included in the sale of the property.

The location of Merriton couldn’t be better. Greystones, a quiet seaside village on the Dublin-Wicklow border, is an hour from Dublin on the DART and home to lots of delightful shops and restaurants.

5

Merriton, Kinlen Road, Greystones, Co Wicklow, is on sale for €1,095,000 from Sherry FitzGerald Greystones via Daft.ie.
