EVERY WEEK, we choose a certain theme and bring you four of the most interesting properties Daft.ie has to offer in that vein, be it four thatched cottages or four properties with heaps of parking space.
Regardless of theme though, some properties are always going to be more of a hit than others. Here are the four most-viewed properties on Daft.ie from February, ranging from a handy three-bed in Naas to one of the island’s most expensive homes.
Luggala, the iconic former home of the Guinness family, isn’t just a property: it’s several properties, dotted throughout a 5,000 acre estate, which includes a sizeable woodland area.
The Gothic-style, 18th century mansion is a sight to behold: facing down towards Lough Tay, the property is a masterclass in opulence, featuring battlements and crockets as well as imposing limestone obelisks to the front of the property. It’s a truly incredible estate that Bono once dubbed U2′s “inspiration”.
Luggala is on the market for €28,000,000.
Located on the prestigious Vico Road, Strawberry Hill House is an absolutely gorgeous mansion with views over both Killiney Bay and the Wicklow Mountains.
Sitting on almost an acre of land, Strawberry Hill House features manicured lawns, tennis courts and fruit gardens, as well as a separate gym. Inside, there is a games room, cellar and five stunning bedrooms.
Strawberry Hill House is on sale for €5,950,000.
OakHill is a development of 56 homes, just outside the vibrant town of Gorey. All homes are semi-detached, A3 rated for energy and have three bedrooms, all of which are of doubles. The kitchen/dining area features Shaker-style fitted storage, and glass patio doors opening out to seeded gardens.
The development is a 15-minute walk to Gorey town and all its amenities, including plenty of schools and sports clubs. It’s also 45 minutes from the M50 motorway, and is well-serviced by Irish Rail and Bus Éireann services.
Bellingsfield is a new development of three and four-bedroom semi-detached homes, located near Naas, Co Kildare – just under 40 minutes from the city centre. These homes would make an excellent choice for commuters, are all A-rated for energy and feature several car parking spaces to the front.
Naas is a town filled with a variety of amenities, including several fantastic schools, both primary and secondary. It’s well-served by a local train line, as well as Bus Éireann routes.
Homes in Bellingsfield are on sale from €345,000.
