FOR FAMILIES WITH young children, a cul de sac provides an ideal place to call home thanks to the reduced traffic levels and quiet positioning.
This week we’re looking at four homes in cul de sacs around the country, from a three-bed in Dublin 16 to a modern bungalow in Waterford.
Coming to the market in turn-key condition, 6 Kingston Heights is an attractive family home. The three-bed property has been extended, upgraded and modernised throughout its 1,227 sq ft, and also boasts a landscaped west-facing rear garden.
The accommodation includes a bright living room to the front, with sliding doors which lead to the open-plan kitchen and dining area. No 6 is located in a quiet cul de sac off Ballinteer Road, and benefits from a large communal green.
A three-bed detached bungalow, 60 Roselawn has plenty of appeal. There’s a lawn and driveway to the front, the rear garden is south-facing, and the interior has been completely refurbished.
Features include a solid fuel open fire, a modern kitchen with glossy units and built-in wardrobes in two of the bedrooms. No 60 is one of a handful of houses in the cul de sac, with the coast just a 10-minute walk away.
Located in a quiet cul de sac of family homes, 30 Edgeworth Court is a spacious four-bed detached property. The 1,291 sq ft house has been totally renovated and redecorated, with features including a solid fuel wood-burning stove, a solid oak Shaker-style kitchen and a modern en suite bathroom.
To the rear, there’s a south-west facing garden with a decking area and lawn, while to there front there’s parking for two cars. Longwood village is a five-minute walk away.
Built in 1993, this four-bed Co Longford property is an ideal family base. It features a bright and spacious layout thanks to an extension that was added in 2012, making for 2,074 sq ft of accommodation.
The kitchen is a beautiful space, with walnut cabinets, solid quartz countertops and a large island/breakfast bar. Outside, mature trees and shrubs add a sense of privacy, while lawn and patio areas to the side and rear create spaces to enjoy the good weather during the summer months.
