Price Comparison: What can I buy in Co Offaly for under €495,000?

From a three-bed in Portarlington to a six-bed in Tullamore.

THIS WEEK WE’RE heading to the midlands to find out what you could get for under €495k in today’s property market.

It can be hard to find the time to trawl through listings, so let us take a load off. If you’re looking to buy in Co Offaly, one of these houses may just tick all of the boxes.

Three-bed, bungalow, Portarlington – €335,000

This 170 m², three-bedder looks over the Garryhinch Woods and sits on about .6 of an acre just outside the town of Portarlington. The house is made up of an open plan living room with dining area that has a charming vaulted ceiling. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom. There is also a lounge and a home office making it a great option for the remote worker. 

The BER is C1, so there is potential to increase the rating. Outside, the driveway has ample space for a number of cars, while the gardens will keep anyone with green fingers happy. There is also a timber shed on the land for more storage.

Sitting on half an acre, just outside Tullmore town, this 198 m² home has great views of the Slieve Bloom mountains to the front and lots of space inside.
