Here's how the London Independent covered Prince George's christening

Most British papers ran pages of photographs of the christening – but that’s not how the Independent rolls.

THE INDEPENDENT HAS always done things differently when it comes to coverage of the royal family.

While its counterparts in Britain ran pages of text and photographs today about the christening of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s son Prince George – 15 pages were dedicated to it in the Daily Mail alone – the fiercely republican Independent relegated the news to one 19-word sentence at the bottom of page 27.

Gotta admire their brevity.
