TWO WINNING TICKETS for last night’s Lotto draw were sold in Athlone and Donegal.

The two winners share in a jackpot of €12,344,809.

The National Lottery revealed today that the two winning Jackpot tickets, worth €6,172,404 each, were sold in the Topaz Service Station, Dublin Road, Athlone, Co. Westmeath and Mickey Joe’s Country Store, Umlagh, Carrigart, Co. Donegal. Both were from Quick Pick play. It is advising all its players to check their tickets to see if their numbers have come up.

The winning numbers are: 3, 7, 17, 21, 22 and 28. The bonus number is 2.

The mega jackpot almost matched the biggest Lotto win so far this year of €12.85 million won by a syndicate from Dublin on 1 March.

The money has rolled over every week since then.

Paula Keegan, store manager with Topaz Service Station, Dublin Road, Athlone, said they are thrilled to have sold the winning Quick Pick.

“This is the first time we have sold such a large winning ticket. This is a busy shop with lots of passing trade so while we would love if the winner was a local it is a possibility that the ticket was purchased by someone passing through.”
