A MAN HAS died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Wexford.
It brings the total number of people who have been killed on Irish roads since Saturday to seven.
Gardaí said the crash happened on the R702 near Curraghgraigue, a townland around 8.5km north-west of Enniscorthy, at around 11.30am on Monday.
The male driver of the car, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford and the coroner has been notified.
The road was closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them, including any road users who were travelling on the R702 between 10.30am and 11.30am on Monday and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage.

On Sunday, a man in his 60s died after a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor in Co Leitrim.
It happened on the L3355 near Mullaghycullen, Drumcong. Gardaí arrived at the scene shortly before 11pm, and the man was pronounced dead.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in the area between 10.30pm and 11pm to come forward.

On Sunday morning, a man died in a two-vehicle crash in Co Tyrone.
Police in Northern Ireland said the collision involving a Volvo and a Mazda happened on the Clanabogan Road at around 9.10am on Sunday.
The man has been named as 38-year-old Adrian Slevin from the Dromore area.
The PSNI are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any information which could assist with the investigation – including dash-cam or other footage – to contact them.
On Saturday, four people died after three separate collisions in Donegal and Dublin.
In Donegal, a man in his 20s died following a single-vehicle crash on the R238 at Ardmore, Muff at around 9.45pm.
The man, who was the driver and only occupant of the car, was taken by ambulance to Altnagelven Hospital in Derry, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was travelling on the R238 at Ardmore between 9.30pm and 10pm and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074 9320540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
Separately, two people died and four others were injured in a two-vehicle collision on the N15 in Birchhill shortly after 2pm on Saturday.
Two occupants of one vehicle, a man in his 20s and a man in his 30s, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other occupants within the same vehicle – a woman and a man, both aged in their 20s – were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.
Two occupants in the second vehicle, a man and a woman in their 40s, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries in Letterkenny University Hospital.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1.30pm and 2.30pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

In Dublin, a pedestrian in her 20s died after being struck by a car on the N11 Bray Road in Loughlinstown.
Emergency services attended the scene at around 11.50pm on Saturday, where the woman was pronounced dead.
