A MAN IN his 40s is in a critical condition after a single-vehicle collision in Co Clare last night.
The collision happened at around 11.40pm on the R352 at Bodyke, Co Clare.
The single occupant of the car, a man in his 40s, was brought by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The road is currently closed with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and were travelling in the area of the R352 at Ballynahinch, Bodyke between 11pm and midnight on 23 August are asked to make this available.
