Man due in court later today in connection with assault in Dublin suburb

The incident happened in McIntosh Park in Cabinteely on Wednesday afternoon.

A MAN IS due before court later today in connection with the alleged assault of a man in a Dublin suburb earlier this week.

According to an update issued by gardaí this morning, a man aged in his 30s has been charged and will appear before Dún Laoghaire District Court after 10:30am.

A man in his fifties is in serious condition in St Vincent’s Hospital after the alleged attack at around 3pm on Wednesday in McIntosh Park, Cabinteely.

Investigations are ongoing according to this morning’s statement.

Gardaí have appealing to anyone who may have taken images or recorded footage – including dash-cam – of the incident to “not share it on social media platforms or messaging apps”, but instead to provide it to investigators.

Anyone who was in the area of McIntosh Park, Cabinteely, at the time and who may have any information about the incident, is asked to contact gardaí.
