Man and woman charged over terrorist activity in Derry

A 39-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman have been charged with a number of terrorist offences.

TWO PEOPLE HAVE been charged in connection with dissident terrorist activity in Derry.

A 39-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested in Monday in Derry and have been charged with a number of terrorist offences.

Both face charges of possession of explosives with intent to endanger life and possession of items for an act of terrorism.

The man faces a further charge of collecting material last year likely to be of use to terrorists.

Both suspects are due to appear court tomorrow morning.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
