Man arrested over two bodies found in burnt-out car in 2012

The man is being held at Dundalk Garda Station for questioning.

A MAN IN his late 30s has been arrested in connection with the deaths of two men who were discovered in a burnt-out car just over two years ago.

The man was arrested earlier today and is being held at Dundalk Garda Station for questioning.

The bodies of the two men were discovered in a car at Ravensdale Park in Dundalk, Co Louth on Wednesday 7 March 2012.

The men were identified as Anthony Burnett, 31, of Croke Villas in Dublin 3, and Joseph Redmond, 25, from Ballybough in Dublin 3.

Both men died of gunshot wounds prior to the car being set on fire.

Gardaí have said that they believe the men were killed as part of a gang-related feud over drugs.
