A MAN HAS been arrested after ammunition, cocaine and cannabis herb were seized in a premises in Kildare early this morning.
The drug were worth around €34,000. The cocaine seized was worth €14,000 while the cannabis herb was worth €20,000.
The discovery was made during a planned search of a premises at Lower Belan, Moone shortly after midnight.
The man is being held at Kildare Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 as amended.
The search was part of an ongoing operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kildare area.
It was carried out by Athy gardaí, assisted by the Kildare District Drugs Unit and Athy Traffic Corps.
