Man (20s) seriously injured after being hit by car in Cashel

The pedestrian was hit by a car on the Clonmel road in Cashel shortly after 11pm last night.

A MAN IN his 20s was seriously injured after he was hit by a car while out walking in Cashel, Co Tipperary last night.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision between a car and the pedestrian on the Clonmel road in Cashel shortly after 11pm.

The pedestrian was brought to Cork University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are seeking to speak to three drivers who passed by the pedestrian before the collision, and have asked anyone with information regarding the collision to come forward. 

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since fully reopened.
