A MAN HAS been arrested after damaging a restaurant in Dublin city centre last night.
The incident occurred in O’Connell Street’s Flanagan’s Restaurant at around 9pm. Glass at the front of the restaurant was smashed, and it is thought that there was more damage to the inside of the restaurant.
It is thought that it took less than 10 garda officers to detain the man at the scene.
The Gardaí has confirmed that the man involved in the incident is in his early 40s. After his arrest the man was brought to Store Street Garda station where he is currently being detained.
The incident follows criticism of the capital city’s main street. In June Director of Operations for Dublin’s iconic department store Clearys described the street as “a very cold environment.”
